Mike Hailwood Replica Ducati 900SS

After Mike Hailwood's (Mike the Bike) victory at the 1978 Isle of Man Formula One motorcycle race, Ducati offered a 900SS based Mike Hailwood Replica for sale. Approximately 7,000 were sold. These days a good one can bring over $35,000AUS.  It is a pleasure to illustrate Ducatis they have such nice bits. The fairing does not totally enclose the beautiful bevel drive 900ss motor.

Suzuki GS1100L commission.

I was asked to create a poster of a 1981 Suzuki GS1100L.  My client had great memories of this bike which he took to the drag strip in the day.  The clutch could not handle the 105hp to well but it was worth it as it was just such good fun. I was able convert a Suzuki GSX1100 to keep the cost down.

Rumble in the jungle.

Panthers were manufactured in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire from 1900 to 1967. Launched in 1932, the Model 100 continued through to 1963. While the engine and overall layout stayed essentially the same, the specifications steadily evolved over these thirty or so years. In 1937  the Panther 600cc had a  new fully chromed fuel tank with red and black lined cream panels and snarling Panther logo. This was the last year of the "Redwing" Model 100. 1955 BSA A7 Shooting Star 500

Man alive this was a difficult illustration...I really struggled with this one. I wanted to create a dusty moon light effect, I think I got it. The BSA Shooting Star had 30 hp at 5800rpm and a top speed of nearly 90mph. To see more of my work or buy a poster please check out the gallery on my other site - www.custommotorcycleart.com
